Newman Night Prefect
Newman Night Prefect is responsible for the Direct oversight of all aspects of Newman Night. The primary focus of the Prefect is the growth and development of the ministry, spiritual & pastoral accompaniment of the Newman Night team, and ongoing support & empowerment of the Newman Night leadership. This position reports to the Newman Director and Program Coordinator.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Newman Night Program Development Specialist
Newman Night Program Development Specialist is responsible for bringing innovative ideas to the Newman Night team for planning and facilitation during weekly ministry. This position brainstorms and organizes ministry nights and works with the team to execute the night. Program Development Specialist facilitates collaborative dialogue between leaders in order to create fruitful events.
Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Newman Night Outreach Specialist
Newman Night Outreach Specialist is responsible for the development and facilitation of outreach strategies to students in the community and on campus. This position works in collaboration with the Fellowship Ministry Outreach Specialists and Outreach Coordinator to continue to grow the Newman Center Ministry and connect with students.
Specific Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Plan and facilitate Thursday Newman Night ministry
Newman Night Hospitality Specialist
Newman Night Hospitality Specialist is responsible for the Environment, Food and Beverage for Newman Nights. This position works in collaboration with the Fellowship Ministry Hospitality Specialists and Environment & Hospitality Coordinator to provide a welcoming and positive atmosphere at the Newman Center

- Organize, plan, and facilitate weekly Newman Night team meetings
- Attend weekly Council Meeting & provide updates
- Newman Night Budget management
- Accompaniment of team in their specific ministerial roles
- Set-up, ministry night facilitation, and Clean-up for Newman Night
- Leading by example: outreach to students
Newman Night Program Development Specialist
Newman Night Program Development Specialist is responsible for bringing innovative ideas to the Newman Night team for planning and facilitation during weekly ministry. This position brainstorms and organizes ministry nights and works with the team to execute the night. Program Development Specialist facilitates collaborative dialogue between leaders in order to create fruitful events.

- Plan and facilitate Thursday Newman Night ministry
- Set-up, ministry night facilitation, and Clean-up
- Brainstorm ideas for Newman Nights and bring them to the team meetings for discussion
- Organize planning guide for ministry nights and update ministry calendar
- Support outreach to students
Newman Night Outreach Specialist
Newman Night Outreach Specialist is responsible for the development and facilitation of outreach strategies to students in the community and on campus. This position works in collaboration with the Fellowship Ministry Outreach Specialists and Outreach Coordinator to continue to grow the Newman Center Ministry and connect with students.
Specific Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Plan and facilitate Thursday Newman Night ministry
- Set-up, ministry night facilitation, and Clean-up
- Actively engage with new students and connect them with others
- Tabling on campus and at Parishes
- Support the Newman Center’s presence and visibility on campus and at St. James Parish
- Supporting outreach through communication with incoming/new students
- Be actively present in community communication (e.g. Discord, Instagram videos, etc.)
- Lead by example: outreach to new students by fostering a welcoming environment & being the first reach out
Newman Night Hospitality Specialist
Newman Night Hospitality Specialist is responsible for the Environment, Food and Beverage for Newman Nights. This position works in collaboration with the Fellowship Ministry Hospitality Specialists and Environment & Hospitality Coordinator to provide a welcoming and positive atmosphere at the Newman Center
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Plan and facilitate Thursday Newman Night ministry and Hospitality
- Coordinate any needs for environment, food, or beverage
- Grocery Shopping
- Set-up, ministry night facilitation, and Clean-up
- Budget Management and communication with the Prefect
- Assist with the opening and closing procedures of the Newman Center when necessary
- Collaborates with Environment & Hospitality Coordinator to develop, expand, and maintain the environment and hospitality of the Newman Center
