NEWMAN HOUSE
The newest addition to the Newman facilities is a cozy hangout spot for smaller gatherings. With a kitchen, two living rooms, and dining area, Newmanites can enjoy each other's company in the safety of the Newman House. Our directors offices are also located in the House where students can drop by during their office hours. In union with the Davis community, we honor the memory of Officer Natalie Corona with a dedicated bench outside the front yard. |
THE GROTTO
Behind the Newman House, one can find The Grotto, which serves as a quiet space for prayer and reflection. All are welcome to visit our statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe and say a prayer with a fellow Newmanite. |
NEWMAN HALL AND CENTER
"Newman: More than a building..."
The Newman Hall was built in 1931 as one of the original sites of St. James Catholic Church. For decades, the Newman Hall and Center became a home for many students and families where all could gather to worship, sing, find community, and grow in faith. Due to safety concerns, the hall has been closed since October of 2019. We are excited and eager to open the doors to our students as soon as possible. To support these efforts, or for more information, contact the Newman Catholic Center Director, Weston Ruiz, at 530-746-7670 or director@davisnewman.org . |
